Hit Man

Hollywood’s man of the moment, Glen Powell, stars in the darkly comedic film inspired by true events about a college professor who works undercover with the police by posing as a hitman to catch the people who order hits. Of course, things take a turn when he falls in love with a woman who hires him for a hit. The Richard Linklater-directed film was very well received when it debuted at the Venice Film Festival.

Ultraman: Rising

With the successful anime versions of popular kaiju Godzilla and Gamera under their belt, Netflix is back to take another stab with one of Japan’s icons—Ultraman. The animated film is co-produced by Netflix Animation and Tsuburaya Productions, with animation by Industrial Light & Magic. The film is about a Japanese baseball player who has to balance his career and hero duties as Ultraman, all while caring for a baby kaiju.

The Boy and the Heron
